2007 Legislative Proposals

2006 Legislative Changes
 

Act 16 (HB 660) Effective May 4, 2006: Provides for the confidentiality of certain records of the Second Injury Board related to requests for reimbursement.
 
Act 44 (SB 107) May 16, 2006: Provides relative to workers' compensation insurer reports.
 
Act 48 (SB 206) Effective May 16, 2006: Provides for jurisdiction and procedures in a disputed workers' compensation claim.
 
Act 49 (SB 324) Effective May 16, 2006: Provides for practices and procedures for self-insured employers and the office of workers' compensation administration.
 
Act 90 (HB 688) Effective May 25, 2006: Extends the executive session exception to meeting of the Second Injury Board.
 
Act 193 (HB 678) Effective June 2, 2006: Provides for the suspension of medical benefit statutes.
 
Act 387 (HB 566) Effective June 15, 2006: Expands coverage to include reinsurance contract and requirements for insurance company rating.
 
Act 388 (HB 577) Effective June 15, 2006: Provides relative to insurance cost containment.
 
Act 453 (SB 240) Effective June 15, 2006: Provides for practices and procedures before the second injury fund and board.
 
Act 468 (HB 775) Effective August 15, 2006: Provides the direct pay of benefits to children who have reached the age of majority.
 
Act 494 (HB 1144) Effective August 15, 2006: Repeals the applicable dates for catastrophic injury claims.
 
Act 634 (SB 745) Effective June 23, 2006: Provides for workers' compensation self-insurance funds.
